Cool off with a swim at Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall
An ethical, no-riding elephant home in Chiang Mai. Feed, walk and bathe with our elephants in the Mae Taeng valley — a family-run sanctuary caring for elephants and their mahouts since 2020.

Drag to explore — it loops forever

Our elephant camp opened in 2020. We came across a group of elephants whose owners were using them for work — riding and begging for food from passersby. This posed a significant danger to the elephants, so we invited the owners to join us.
We opened our camp to tourists, offering visits and activities to care for the elephants and improve their living conditions. We didn't buy the elephants — instead, we welcomed the owners and their families to live with us, giving them a home and ending their homelessness.
Our elephant conservation centre cordially invites everyone to visit, either in person or through tour companies. Visits are welcome every day, and your support helps ensure the continued presence of elephants in Thailand.

Elephants in the Valley
Every tour is small-group, no-riding, and includes hotel transfer, lunch, fruit and drinking water.

A van picks you up from your hotel for the 1h20m drive to the first stop: bamboo or rubber rafting down the Mae Taeng River, where you'll spot many elephants along the mountain scenery. After a 30–40 minute float you'll reach PonSecret Elephant Home, change into camp uniforms, and make vitamin balls to feed the elephants (bananas, sugar cane, watermelon and more). You'll walk the elephants for exercise, join their mud bath, then bathe them in the river. Lunch is served, with the option to cook your own Pad Thai. Afterwards you're driven to Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall for an hour to enjoy the falls, returning to your hotel around 4.30–5.00pm.

Pick-up is between 8.00–8.30am from your hotel or a designated meeting point. The 1h20m air-conditioned van ride brings you to PonSecret Elephant Home, where our guide and staff welcome you with instructions on feeding activities. Uniforms are provided free of charge. You'll prepare a herbal vitamin supplement and feed the elephants bananas, sugar cane, watermelon and other treats, then walk with them for 30–40 minutes. Families can join the elephants bathing in the Mae Taeng River. Lunch is served before the transfer back to your hotel, arriving around 2pm.

Hotel pick-up is between 8.00–8.30am, then a drive to the white water rafting put-in on the Mae Tang River. The 30–40 minute rafting run passes over 100 elephants along both riverbanks against Northern Thailand's mountain scenery. The raft arrives at Secret Elephant Sanctuary by Mr Pon, where your guide introduces the facilities: changing into camp uniforms, making herbal laxatives, feeding bananas and sugarcane, and walking the elephants out to graze in the forest. You'll then bathe the elephants before lunch at the Elephant Cafe. Afterwards you're taken to a waterfall to swim and rock climb, returning safely to your hotel by the end of the tour at 4.30pm.

A conservation programme that lets elephants live alongside people in a natural environment. Pick-up is between 8.00–8.30am from your hotel or meeting point, followed by a 1h20m drive to the sanctuary, where our guide introduces the location and the history of each elephant. The sanctuary has ample space near the mountains and river, an ideal home for the herd. You'll trek through the jungle to watch the elephants foraging along the mountain slopes, then gather natural food near their habitat to feed them and interact up close. Follow the elephants into their mud and river bath, then enjoy lunch while watching them play in the river. Afterwards we drive to Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall to shower under the falls for an hour, before returning to your hotel and finishing the programme around 4.30pm.
Reach out directly, or book through your hotel or tour company. We welcome guests every day.
